The American Friends Service Committee’s Third World Coalition in conjunction with Interfaith Peace-Builders sponsored a people of color delegation to Israel/Palestine from May 24 through June 7, 2008.
This delegation brought communities of color together to listen, learn, and engage with Palestinians and Israelis.
This year represents a key milestone in the struggle for justice and peace for Palestinians and Israelis the 60th anniversary of the creation the State of Israel and the 1948 expulsion of more than 700,000 Palestinians.

Third World Coalition
The Third World Coalition is a unique network of people of color working toward a global movement of liberation and self-determination. Formed in 1971, the TWC is a program of the American Friends Service Committe, a Quaker organization that includes people of various faiths committed to peace, justice, and human dignity.
Interfaith Peace-Builders
Interfaith Peace-Builders fosters a network of informed and active individuals who understand the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the United States’ political, military, and economic role in it. To build and nurture such a network, we lead delegations of people from diverse backgrounds to Israel/Palestine. These delegations emphasize listening to and learning from those immersed in the reality of the conflict, and advancing the work of Israelis and Palestinians committed to nonviolent struggle and peace with justice.
